We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) for the following:
‘Please disclose under the Freedom of Information Act how many times ministers consulted their permanent secretary under Section 9 of the 2001 Ministerial Code between May 5 2005 and the present day. I would also like to know on each occasion what information ministers disclosed to their permanent secretaries and why the consultation took place.’
