Summary
Some Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) customer-facing telephone numbers are changing.
All new phone numbers are operational as of the date of this notice, for local marine offices and some other MCA services.
From 27 October 2025, previous phone numbers will begin to be deactivated in stages. You will not be able to reach us on the previous numbers once this process is complete.
For a short period, callers will hear a prerecorded message that will signpost the relevant new numbers.
1. Background
The MCA is introducing a new telephony platform for handling calls within our offices.
This will result in new contact telephone numbers for each of our regional marine offices.
Phone numbers for some other MCA services are also changing, including Seafarer Operations and the Registry of Shipping and Seamen.
New contact telephone numbers are now active and listed in this notice.
