Notice to all owners, ship operators and managers, charterers, masters and officers of merchant ships, skippers of fishing vessels, shipbuilders, port authorities, operators of fixed and floating platforms and drilling rigs and classification societies.
This note should be read with the International Maritime Organization’s 2023 Guidelines for the control and management of ships’ biofouling to minimize the transfer of invasive aquatic species and the 2023 Guidelines for the reduction of underwater radiated noise from shipping to address adverse impacts on marine life.
