Miles Robin Barne, Teresa Susan Barne, Tom Michael Barne and Anna Susan Barne trading as Sotterley Farms Partnership has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from an unnamed tributary of the Hundred River at Willingham St. Mary, Suffolk, at National Grid Reference TM 45848 86414.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 144 cubic metres an hour
  • 3,456 cubic metres a day
  • 91,000 cubic metres a year
  • between November and March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
