Agenda Item 1 – Welcome and introductions
Brian Bell opened the meeting and welcomed the attendees, including some new members of the Secretariat.
Agenda Item 2 – Home Office, MAC Secretariat and MAC updates
Claire Smith gave an update on recent changes to the immigration rules on Global Talent and High Potential Individual routes. Holly White provided an update on publication of Stage 1 of the Temporary Shortage List Review and plans to publish an analytical paper on fiscal impacts.
Agenda item 3 – Salary Thresholds Review: Revised narrative paper
A member of the Secretariat provided an overview of the narrative for the ongoing Salary Thresholds Review. The Committee asked about potential for additional analysis on discounts and commented on the conclusions of the evidence.
Agenda item 4 – Annual Report: Full report
Members of the Secretariat presented the three chapters of the Annual Report (English Language Requirements, Overseas Domestic Worker Route, Fiscal Impacts of Family Route) for publication in December. The Committee were invited to comment on the conclusions.
Agenda item 5- Temporary Shortage List: Stage 2
A member of the Secretariat provided an update on plans for Stage 2 of the Temporary Shortage List Review and the Call for Evidence which is now open.

There were no AOB points raised.
