Application of SOLAS Chapter II-1  

Notice to all Shipowners, Certifying Authorities, Shipbuilders, Ship repairers, Ship Masters and Surveyors.

This Note replaces Marine Guidance Note 670 Amendment 1 and introduces amendments to SOLAS Chapter II-1 introduced by IMO resolution MSC.532(107), MSC.557(107) and MSC.558(108).

This Note should be read in conjunction with the Merchant Shipping (Cargo and Passenger Ship Construction and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2023.
