It is between Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation (HMIP), the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and the Youth Justice Board for England and Wales (YJB). It sets out their main responsibilities with regards to the monitoring and oversight of youth offending services across England and Wales.
This follows the YJB’s split of functions in 2017 and the introduction of HMIP’s new inspection methodology.
