Memorandum of understanding (MoU) stating the roles and responsibilities in developing a direct international rail connection between the UK and Switzerland involving the:
- Department for Transport (DfT)
- Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications of the Swiss Confederation
This MoU is a joint commitment to formalise government cooperation to explore the potential for a direct rail service between the UK and Switzerland. This will include a joint working group that will bring together both governments and industry experts to address any potential barriers and look at solutions for establishing these direct connections.
