Meg Derby Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number MD/028/0034/002 which authorises the abstraction of water from an underground strata compromising of Sherwood Sandstone at Dove Valley Business Park, Derbyshire.
The variation applied for is as follows:
- Adding two additional abstraction points at points at National Grid References SK 20345 32675 & SK 20056 32725.
- Increase the hourly abstraction rate from 80 cubic metres an hour to 130 cubic metres an hour
- Increase the daily rate from 1,920 cubic metres a day to 3,120 cubic metres a day
- With no changes to the annual amount (700,000 cubic metres a year)
