This document sets out our proposed methodology for assessing medium range gas security of supply
The assessment will be delivered by the Future Systems Operator on an annual basis. It will consider gas supplies according to availability, reliability and deliverability against a peak demand scenario at the end of winter, across a 5-to-10 year time horizon.
This publication meets one of the government’s commitments set out in the Powering Up Britain: energy security plan.
