Details

The Media Act 2024, which received royal assent on 24 May 2024, reforms television and radio broadcasting regulation in the UK. DCMS and Ofcom are now in the process of implementing the Act (more information can be found on Ofcom’s website).

The draft statutory instruments (SIs) published on this page are provided in order to support consultation work. They may be subject to further amendment prior to laying before Parliament and, once laid, they will be subject to the draft affirmative procedure, requiring debate and approval in both Houses of Parliament before they can become law.
