Details

The Environment Agency set up its Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS) to provide guidelines on the standards you need to meet to monitor emissions that affect the environment.

This guidance is for:

  • manufacturers of automatic isokinetic samplers, who need to know what standards to meet to be able to sell their equipment in the UK
  • test laboratories who carry out testing of equipment on behalf of manufacturers to see if it meets the required standard

  1. The PDF version of this guidance has been replaced with a new HTML format to improve accessibility and user experience. The minimum velocity range to be tested has been increased from 2 to 20 m/s to 2 to 30 m/s. Short-term isokinetic samplers have been removed from the guidance.
