Mansfield Sand Company Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Idle and Torne Catchment.

The application is for a licence to abstract (take) water from the Sherwood Sandstone between National Grid References (NGRs) SK 52837 56886, SK 53395 57609, SK 54241 56994 and SK 53566 56164 to transfer it to unlined lagoons at NGRs SK 53885 56699 and SK 53834 56623 without intervening use.

Abstraction will take place all year for the purpose of dewatering.
