Manor Farm Rackheath Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The following new application has been made to vary an existing licence.
The application is to abstract water from a chalk borehole at Rackheath at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 28860 15630.
The existing abstraction authorises 154,500 cubic metres per year (3,383 cubic metres per day) between April and October for spray irrigation. The applicant has applied to extend the abstraction period to include March.
