This policy framework provides rules and guidance for prison staff managing conveyance of unauthorised and illicit items. This framework is only applicable to prisons participating in the NSF pilot.

Details

This policy framework sets out mandatory requirements and guidance to help staff implement the mandatory requirements when managing the risk of conveyance of unauthorised and illicit items in Closed Prisons and Young Offenders Institutions.

This policy framework is only applicable to pilot establishments participating in the National Security Framework (NSF) Review. These are: HMP Holme House; HMP Doncaster; HMP Lewes; HMPYOI Wetherby; HMP Wakefield; and HMP Downview.

This policy framework will be subject to further review, update and approval following the completion of the NSF pilot.
