Malcolm Fletcher has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Methwold Hithe Lode between National Grid References TL 6721 9222 and TL 6791 9254 and between TL 6749 9242 and TL 6758 9288 to transfer it to field drains and scrapes at Jubilee Farm, Feltwell without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 380 cubic metres an hour
- 1,900 cubic metres a day
- 25,000 cubic metres a year
- between November and March inclusive in each year
Any licence issued would be subject to a condition to protect flows within the South Level system, along with eel screening.
