This report provides an update on the introduction and roll-out of Making Tax Digital before the government decides on the next phases of the programme.

The report captures progress and learning from the roll-out so far, drawing on available evidence at this stage. HMRC will continue to discuss and monitor progress with representative bodies and taxpayers, to ensure that future plans for Making Tax Digital reflect this learning.
