Details

Before opening a free school, an academy trust must enter into a funding agreement with the Secretary of State. The funding agreement provides the framework within which the free school will operate.

Please note that these model documents reflect the latest legislative and policy positions at the date of publication. The precise terms on which the Secretary of State will enter into an agreement in respect of a particular school will reflect the individual circumstances of the project.
