A request was made for information about the section of the M1 motorway between Newport Pagnell and marker post 86/5 on the northbound carriagway including information of all safety inspections undertaken on the carriageway between 20 February 2013 and 20 February 2015; details of all carriageway defects identified during safety inspections during that period; details of how carriageway safety inspections are undertaken and their frequency; details of complaints/enquiries relating to the carriagway; road section numbers; defect intervention criteria; and whether or not the authority has formally adopted all or part of the standards contained within the National Code of Practice for Highways Maintenance Management. In response, Highways England disclosed all information requested.
