Details

If the Environment Agency provides a LRWP for an activity, you can carry it out without an environmental permit for a waste operation provided that you meet all the conditions.

The Environment Agency will review the LRWPs. They may decide the activity is no longer suitable for a LRWP or that the conditions need changing. You must regularly check that the LRWP you are benefiting from is still in place.

‘Using shredded waste carpet in equestrian surfaces: LRWP 43’ was withdrawn in December 2020 and it stopped being used on 17 June 2021. Instead, check if you can follow the regulatory position statement on using shredded waste carpet in equestrian surfacing (RPS 248).
