We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following: 

  • how many office-issued mobile devices and laptops have been lost or stolen in the last two years?
  • how many of the missing mobile devices or laptops were found and returned? 
  • how many staff have been disciplined over the losses or thefts?
  • how many staff in your organisation currently have an office-issue laptop or mobile device?
  • what are your procedures for when somebody loses a device? Does the member of staff concerned have to pay for the loss?
