Details

The government will appoint a consultant to evaluate the strategic case for investment in existing and new rail capacity along the south coast rail corridor.

This document lists questions in 3 main categories that should be addressed by the consultant. The categories include:

  • demand for services
  • proposals to address demand and feasibility
  • priorities for investment in the short, medium and long-term

The London and south coast rail corridor study was completed in April 2016.

The government then issued their response to the London and south coast rail corridor study.
