This statutory guidance is for:

  • employer representative bodies (ERBs)
  • further education colleges
  • sixth form colleges
  • designated institutions
  • independent training providers
  • higher education institutions
  • mayoral combined authorities and the Greater London Authority
  • local enterprise partnerships
  • local authorities

It sets out:

  • the process for developing and reviewing a local skills improvement plan (LSIP), which is led by the designated ERB and in which relevant providers must co-operate
  • the duties placed upon relevant providers once there is an approved LSIP in place
