The £950 million fourth and largest round of the Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF 4), builds on the success of the previous rounds. LAHF 4 will provide funding to councils to enable them to grow their own stock of good quality temporary accommodation, reducing the reliance on expensive and unsuitable nightly paid or B&B accommodation. The fund will also provide homes for some families arriving through the Afghan Resettlement Programme.

The programme will run over four financial years: 2026-27 through to 2029-30.
