Details

These instructions are mainly for Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) surveyors.

They are also a useful guide for anyone else concerned with the survey, marking and inspection of ships for load line purposes, and with issuing load line certificates.

The information included should be read with the act, the load line regulations, and other relevant instruments such as merchant shipping notices (MSNs).
