Details

Decision of the Charity Commission published on 23 April 2012.

After the commission received complaints about trustees renting charity land for grazing in contravention of the governing document, it offered to make a scheme to amend the governing document to allow the trustees to rent land.

The commission considered two representations against the proposed scheme, and concluded that it was appropriate to make the proposed scheme, with amendments to limit the length and extent of grazing rights for trustees. The decision has since been overturned by the Charity Tribunal.
