Details of the application

Littlestone Golf Club Limited have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence .

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of Superficial Deposits of Marine Sands and Clays at Littlestone, Kent at National Grid References TR 08486 25829 and TR 08462 25850.

The application is to abstract water at the following combined rates:

  • 2.4 cubic metres an hour
  • 57.6 cubic metres a day
  • 10,000 cubic metres a year

The water will be used for spray irrigation of a golf course between March and October inclusive each year.
