Details of the application

Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Welland catchment.

The application is for a transfer licence is to abstract water as follows:

  • 520 cubic metres an hour
  • 12,500 cubic metres a day
  • 50,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 December and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TF1439817748
  • from abstraction location the River Glen.

The water will be used for wet fencing and nature conversation.
