Detail

The Treasury Select Committee published its report into SME lending on Tuesday 10 March. This letter from the Economic Secretary to the Chairman of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) notes the Committee’s recommendations. In particular it notes that the FCA should collect the information necessary to establish whether there are systemic failures in the redress scheme, set-up for SMEs that have been mis-sold interest rate hedging products (IRHPs).
