LCJ Mountain Farms Limited: application made to abstract water

LCJ Mountain Farms Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 4/30/12/*S/0272 which authorises the abstraction of water from inland water known as the Old Forty Foot Drain in Great Hale, North Kesteven, Lincolnshire at National Grid References (NGRs) TF 18353 41420 and TF 18706 42177 for the purpose of filling two reservoirs between 1 December and 31 March for subsequent spray irrigation.
The variation applied for is: to have one abstraction point at National Grid Reference: TF 18379 41482, to increase the annual abstraction quantity from 45,460 to 148,188 cubic metres of water, to add the purpose of trickle irrigation and to add discharge points and re-abstraction reaches for subsequent spray and trickle irrigation use. A new reservoir has been constructed to store the increased quantity. Water from the reservoirs will be discharged to watercourses for re-abstraction at NGRs: TF 18379 41482 and TF 17015 42025. The re-abstraction reaches are NGRs: TF 17479 39519 to TF 20253 42495, TF 18797 42397 to TF 20268 42513, TF 20268 42513 to TF 20417 42814, TF 20417 42814 to TF 19823 42923, TF 17411 43019 to TF 19002 42704, TF 18749 42215 to TF 20253 42494, TF 17015 42025 to TF 16878 41564 and TF 16878 41564 to TF 18272 41245.
