Details of the application

Lawford Hall Farm Partnership has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the North Essex catchment.

The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 10 litres per second
  • 36 cubic metres an hour
  • 800 cubic metres a day
  • 30,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TM 08153 32929
  • from abstraction location Cattawade Marshes, Essex.

The water will be used for Transfer for the purpose of wet fencing and nature conservation.
