The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2016 from Barrow Green Hydrogen Limited. It is a green hydrogen facility based at the Meeting Industrial Estate, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 4TL. There is a surface water discharge at SD 18943 72196 with the receiving environment being the Walney Channel. The effluent type is a combination of site surface water run-off, roof water and electrolysis process effluent with a volume of 665 cubic metres a day.
