Knowles Construction Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from River Terrace Deposits at Windsor Court, Egham between National Grid References SU 97811 71310, SU 97870 71314, SU 97878 71248 and SU 97818 71244 to transfer it to recharge wells without intervening use. The recharge well furthest north is situated at National Grid Reference (NGR) SU 97769 71332 and the recharge well furthest south is situated at NGR SU 97776 71232.

The application is to abstract water as follows. For the first month of abstraction (post issue of licence): 8.33 cubic metres an hour, 200 cubic metres a day, 5,600 cubic metres a year. For the remainder of the abstraction period (all year): 3.13 cubic metres an hour, 75 cubic metres a day, 25,275 cubic metres a year.
