Testing PM10 trigger values at construction sites

Details

Kings College London’s study, funded by High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd, examines the current levels at which dust monitor alarms are set to trigger on construction sites.

The study recommends a revised trigger alarm concentration measured over a revised period. It also recommends a series of new operational quality standards.

The study reviewed over 1.8 million dust measurements taken from monitoring results from nine construction sites.

HS2 Ltd has committed to complying with current and future construction site dust monitoring national best practise. This report has been submitted to the authors of that guidance so they can consider its findings.
