Keep Britain Working Advisory Board
Updated 8 May 2025
Alongside ongoing national engagement for Keep Britain Working, Sir Charlie Mayfield has formed an advisory board to support his independent review into the role of UK employers in reducing health-related economic inactivity and promoting healthy and inclusive workplaces. The Keep Britain Working Advisory Board (KBWAB) brings together external business and healthcare expertise to advise Sir Charlie, and will be one of several sources for the Lead Reviewer to test recommendations.
Sir Charlie will share emerging findings with the KBWAB, and the group’s overall aim will be to scrutinise the findings, challenge thinking, and identify gaps.
Purpose
The purpose of the Advisory Board is to:
- support and advise Sir Charlie Mayfield in the development and testing of recommendations for the Keep Britain Working review
- inform the feasibility and effectiveness of those recommendations
- examine and advise on relevant evidence related to the scope of the review
- act as a “critical friend” by providing robust external insight and ideas
