Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) is a comprehensive discipline that is applicable to all acquisition activity through life. However, the cost effective application of ILS requires that there is a balance between benefit and cost.

This Joint Service Publication (JSP) introduces the principles and concepts underpinning Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and its application within the Ministry of Defence (MOD). It provides an understanding of the responsibilities and tasks to be undertaken to enable the benefits of ILS to be realised.

Volume 7 covers the policy and process for the application of supportability engineering and integrated logistic support (ILS).
