Details of the application

Jonathan Lewis and Lucy Lewis trading as J B Lewis & Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Teme at Priors Halton, Ludlow, Shropshire at National Grid Reference SO 49752 76067.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 55 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,320 cubic metres a day
  • 21,500 cubic metres a year

Between 1 May and 31 August inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for Spray Irrigation.

Further details are: this application is a Water Rights Trade and will replace licence number 18/54/09/0568/*S. The only difference between the current and proposed licence will be the abstraction locations which is currently between National Grid References SO 4200 7200 and SO 4210 and 7170.
