John Hilary Taylor, Patricia Shirley Taylor, Stephen David Taylor and Diana Victoria Mary Taylor trading as JH Taylor have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006).

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/036/0016/001/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Box at Boxford, Sudbury, Suffolk at National Grid Reference TL 93739 41501, for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation between November and March.

The variation applied for is an increase in instantaneous rate from 17.6 to 35.2 litres per second, an increase in hourly rate from 63.2 to 127 cubic metres per hour and an increase in daily rate from 1,516 to 3,041 cubic metres per day. There will no increase in their annual quantity. There will also be a decrease in the current flow restriction from 330 to 258 litres per second to more accurately reflect the flow of the river.
