John Heller has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Porthtowan Formation mudstone and sandstone at Acland Farm, Blackwater at National Grid References SW 74539 46685, SW 74301 46434, SW 74417 46609 and SW 74306 46651.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 27 cubic metres an hour

  • 105 cubic metres a day

  • 26,000 cubic metres a year

  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for agriculture other than irrigation and domestic use.
