John Harper and Alice Harper trading as Harper Farming has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Teme at National Grid References SO 75401 54681 to SO 76048 54518 and SO 76526 54666 to SO 76895 54969.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 72 cubic metres an hour
- 936 cubic metres a day
- 18,000 cubic metres a year
- between March and October inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for horticultural watering. The proposed abstraction lies within the Teme catchment.
