John Foster Yeoman has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from limestone and mudstone of the Carboniferous Avon Group at ST 69957 46295 and ST 69797 46311.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 3.7 cubic metres an hour
- 89 cubic metres a day
- 32,486 cubic metres a year
- An instantaneous rate of 1.03 litres per second
- All year abstraction period
The water will be used for general farming (except irrigation).
Further details are: The proposed abstraction lies within the Bristol Avon and Little Avon Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area and lies approximately 92 metres from the Mendip Woodlands SAC and Asham Wood SSSI.
