This report covers the work done in 2025 by the Jet Zero Taskforce’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Task and Finish Group, a sub-group of the Jet Zero Taskforce. 

It reviews lessons learned from the: 

• early operation of the SAF Mandate 
• challenges related to the financing of First of a Kind SAF plants 

It also offers actionable recommendations and suggestions for future areas of work.

Although this group is affiliated with the Jet Zero Taskforce, the report is independent and does not reflect government policy. The report was drafted by the task and finish group, which was chaired by an industry representative and made up of representatives from across the aviation sector.
