James Edward Clark, Emma Clark and Charles Robert Clark trading as CE and JE Clark has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Clough Dike between National Grid References (NGRs) SE 59922 36698 and SE 60311 36653, The Ings between NGRs SE 60663 35820 and SE 62705 34502, The Pond at National Grid Reference SE 61285 36127 and the Holmes Drain between NGRs SE 61686 33599 and SE 62705 34502 near Selby, North Yorkshire.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 60 cubic metres an hour
  • 900 cubic metres a day
  • 60,000 cubic metres a year
  • between April and October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for trickle and spray irrigation.
