Jamaica-UK inaugural Strategic Dialogue 2023: joint communiqué

The first Jamaica-UK Strategic Dialogue saw discussions between the Rt Hon. James Cleverly, MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and Sen. the Hon. Kamina Johnson Smith, Jamaican Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. The Strategic Dialogue focused on:

  1. Security
  2. Climate change
  3. Trade and Investment
  4. Health
  5. Windrush 75th anniversary commemoration
  6. Diaspora and consular affairs
  7. Haiti and Ukraine.

The Dialogue concluded with the signature of a: Joint Communique, an Aide Memoire for the Violence Prevention Partnership (VPP) and an MoU between the British Council and the Ministry of Education (MoE).
