JA Bakewell has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 18/54/08/0079 which authorises the abstraction of water from Hartlebury Brook at two reaches between National Grid References (NGRs) SO 84180 72070 and SO 83705 71487 and between NGRs SO 82790 70520 and SO 82539 70121.

The quantities of the licence for the existing purpose of spray irrigation are:

  • 12.63 litres per second

  • 45.4 cubic metres an hour

  • 1,091 cubic metres a day

  • 45,460 cubic metres a year

  • between March and September inclusive in each year.

The variation applied for is: to add the purpose of trickle irrigation.
