J S Means (Terrington) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for two licences.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for two full licences to abstract surface water from an unnamed drain within the King’s Lynn Internal Drainage Board between National Grid References TF 56410 23039 and TF 55812 23742 and to abstract groundwater from superficial drift deposits between National Grid References TF 56675 23410 to TF 56468 23018.
The application is to abstract surface water as follows: Between November and March inclusive in each year.
- 21 cubic metres an hour
- 485 cubic metres a day
- 36,500 cubic metres a year
The application is to abstract groundwater as follows: Between November and March inclusive in each year:
- 21 cubic metres an hour
- 485 cubic metres a day
- 73,000 cubic metres a year
Between April and October inclusive in each year:
- 21 cubic metres an hour
- 485 cubic metres a day
- 36,500 cubic metres a year
Each licence will contain an aggregate condition limiting the total abstraction across both licences between November and March to 73,000 cubic metres.
The water will be used for storage for subsequent spray irrigation.
