An application has been made to the Environment Agency by Nick Ash, Richard Ash and David Ash, trading as J. P. Ash and Sons. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract (take) water from underground strata (chalk) at National Grid Reference TR 35964 67217 at:

Haine Farm
Haine Road
Ramsgate
Kent

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 11.11 litres per second
  • 40 cubic metres per hour
  • 880 cubic metres per day
  • 70,548 cubic metres per year

Between April and October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
