J N Bentley Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from the Helsby Sandstone and Sidmouth Mudstone aquifer within the area defined by the National Grid References SO 95803 68666, SO 95906 68709, SO 96079 68279 and SO 95954 68124 and to transfer it to an unnamed drain off the River Bure at National Grid Reference TG 39949 15518, without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

49,352 cubic metres a year

between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
Abstraction is anticipated to span until 31st March 2038.
