J & A Woodroffe Farms Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 5/32/11/*S/0169 which authorises the abstraction of water from Newborough Main Drain between National Grid References (NGRs) TF 22230 08880 and TF 22330 07121.

The variation applied for is to increase annual abstraction quantities from 18,000 cubic metres per year to 33,000 cubic metres per year and add an additional reach to abstract from, between NGRs TF 23722 05689 and TF 24491 06117.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
