J & A Growers Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Avon at Pioneer Farm, Wasperton, CV35 8EB at National Grid Reference SP 26000 58072.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 50 cubic metres an hour
- 600 cubic metres a day
- 25,000 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.
The abstracted water is to be used for the purpose of spray irrigation.
Further details are: The proposed abstraction lies within the Avon and Warks Mid catchment in Warwickshire Avon licensing strategy area.
